Computer Technician Secretly Spied On Customers In Their Homes While They Were Naked

Computer technician, Trevor Harwell, has been arrested in Los Angeles, for spying on people in their homes. When customers would go to his repair company Rezitech for repairs to their computers, he would secretly install spyware that allowed him to later remotely access their laptops and PCs.
He would then secretly activate the webcams, using it to watch people, mostly women, in various states of undress and engaging in sexual activity in their homes, in deeds that are criminal violations of domestic and international law.
Harwell also installed malware that would create a fake pop up telling computer owners to take their laptops into the bathroom when they showered, as the steam would reportedly clean the sensors. It was all a lie to perversely watch women naked in the shower.
The criminal scam was uncovered when a woman took her computer to an Apple store and one of the company's technicians found the illegal software Harwell surreptitiously installed and instructed her to call the police.
Authorities opened an investigation into Harwell and later arrested him. He has been released on $50,000 bail pending trial. Police also seized from Harwell's computers "hundreds of thousands of still images and videos" he secretly took of his victims in their home, stashed on his computer. We are living in a sick world.

Police: Computer tech installed peeping software
FULLERTON, Calif.—A Southern California computer repairman suspected of installing spyware on laptops that enabled him to snap and download photographs of women showering and undressing in their homes was arrested Wednesday at his home, police said.
Police began investigating when a Fullerton resident complained about suspicious messages appearing on his daughter's computer last year. Trevor Harwell installed software that took control of computer webcams on his clients' Mac laptops, Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich said. He was released later Wednesday after posting $50,000 bond, Goodrich said.
The software sent fake error messages telling users to "fix their internal sensor soon," and "try putting your laptop near hot steam for several minutes to clean the sensor," Goodrich said. The error message prompted some victims to take their laptops into the bathroom with them when they showered, he said.
"Once he had access, he would take photographs of the users, usually women," Goodrich said. "Often, the female victims were undressed or changing clothes. Harwell then stored the photos on a remote server, and eventually downloaded them on his own computer."...

This is a continuation of the article Leading Rental Company Facing Lawsuit For Spying On People In Their Homes Through Their Laptops, which focused on the terrible act of invasion of privacy, targeting people in their very homes. There are videos online, such as the two in this article, that address the problem and give you tips on how to protect yourself and your family.
There are other methods criminals are employing of spying on others, which are more technically advanced and as such, not mentioned in the aforementioned videos. However, said invasive methods would require police intervention to bring it to a halt, against innocent members of the public. Sony Broken By Anonymous $24 Billion Dollar Hack

Howard Stringer's arrogance and negligence, believing no one could dare touch them, came back to haunt Sony
Sony has been broken by the $24 billion dollar hack that transpired against the corporation over the past few weeks. Only to be hit by a second damaging hack last week. The public is calling for the resignation of Sony CEO, Howard Stringer, who mysteriously fell out of sight when all the turmoil and bad press hit the company. He surfaced today with his tail between his legs, issuing a belated and ineffective apology, after a scathing article slammed his cowardice and lack of backbone.
Sony stated this week, as the Judiciary Report did last week (Sony Badly Hit By $24 Billion Dollar Hack) the hacker collective Anonymous is behind the massive hack the company sustained, disabling their systems, knocking their PlayStation sites off line and stealing the personal and financial data of tens of millions of customers.
Sony stated earlier in the week that they found a file on their server that is the calling card of Anonymous. The file was not only titled "Anonymous" it read "we are legion" which is their slogan. Anonymous denied all responsibility for the hack, but why would they claim credit, as it would equal decades in prison.

Either way, Anonymous could state it was someone else pretending to be them. The FBI, who Sony called to report the hack, is not good with computers (LOL). However, regarding Sony, it's not so nice when you have to deal with the FBI as the shoe is on the other foot, now is it.
Some of you may be wondering how I knew last week Anonymous is the one that attacked the company, before Sony made the announcement yesterday, regarding the calling card they found on their server. I had nothing to do with it, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that when someone says they are going to pimp slap you in an extraordinary way, then they do, who it was that issued the slap-age. For weeks Anonymous warned Sony they were going to get them (see: hack) and their initial blow to the company was just a test (see: diversion) while they did the real damage (see: monster hack and identity theft).
Ironically, the hack does not seem to have been that difficult for Anonymous, as news has since surfaced revealing, Sony's security software was not up to date or strong. It did not meet even basic, up to date security standards. Considering lawsuits are being filed against Sony left right and center, this tidbit is going to work against them in court, as it reveals criminal negligence. Once again, I am only sympathetic to Sony's customers and not the actual company, as it has a history of abusing and robbing innocent people for financial gain.

School Destroyed Evidence In Webcam Spying Case

A legal document filed by the Plaintiffs in the Blake Robbins v. Lower Merion School District case revealed, Harriton High, destroyed a portion of the incriminating evidence, testifying to their criminal misconduct.

The evidence in question refers to some of the 56,000 secretly snapped webcam photos, unlawfully taken of 15-year-old, Blake Robbins and fellow students, by the LanRev software, the school illegally installed on the units, without telling anyone.

All students in the district were banned from carrying their own laptop computers to school. They were required to use school issued laptops that had webcams, acting as hidden spycams, which they were not told about in any measure.

The students took the laptops home and their privacy was violated to greater degrees, as the software was programmed to snap photos every 15 minutes, on whatever was in front of the computers, if they were reported lost or stolen.

Many students stated they did not report their laptops lost or stolen, yet the webcams' on light frequently turned on while they were at home and in school, which indicates one is being filmed. They reported these findings to the school, prior to the Robbins case, only to be told it was a computer glitch, which in retrospect, was clearly a lie.

The students were unconstitutionally being spied on by perverted members of the school's staff, such as computer tech, Carol Cafiero, who in an email to another member of the school's faculty, referred to the webcams spying on the kids, as a soap opera she loves.

She is unquestionably a voyeur, who even stated Robbins had "no reasonably expectation to privacy" as his laptop's insurance fee had lapsed.

Therefore, following her sick logic, a $55 lapsed insurance fee, gave Cafiero the illegal, unconstitutional right, to remotely and secretly, turn on a webcam that acted as a hidden camera, spying on a minor in his home, in particular his bedroom, in conduct one would expect from a pedophile.

To Ms. Cafiero and co: you should hope one day your home insurance payment isn't late and a crazy, psychotic insurance company doesn't decide to install hidden cameras in your bedrooms to snap thousands of photos, triggering every fifteen minutes, in a sick bid to see what you are doing inside the property they are financially on the hook for, until the grace period expires on your policy. It would be the equivalent of what you did to underage students in your school district and their families, who were also spied on by default.

The school has admitted there are photos of Robbins "partially undressed" and "sleeping" in his bedroom. However, the school insists the secretly snapped webcam images did not contain any salacious photos, but the Judiciary Report does not believe that. The Plaintiffs claim some of the evidence has been destroyed and the Judiciary Report thinks so as well.

To the readers of this website, think about what you normally do in the privacy of your bedrooms, such as dress and undress, sleep, talk on the phone, while some engage in sexual activity. In light of this, one has to believe, a webcam secretly snapping photos every fifteen minutes, 24 hours a day, for an extended period of time, caught nude photos, which in this case would mean child pornography.

Lock them up for this nastiness against these kids!


School District Accused of Snapping Thousands of Shots of Students at Home

coordinator now on leave from Harriton High School, "may be a voyeur," the
motion suggests. Responding to an email from an IT staffer about how viewing
students from the computer webcams amounted to a sort of "[school district] soap
opera," Cafiero responded, "I know, I love it," according to the recent filing.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on
Thursday ordered that Cafiero be sanctioned US$2,500 for refusing to answer any
questions in a deposition, citing her Fifth Amendment rights.

Cafiero is also now required to turn over her home computer for
inspection.

Judge Refuses To Squash Deposition Subpoena In School Webcam Spying Case

Jan Dubois, the judge in the Blake Robbins v. Lower Merion School District case, regarding the school spying on kids in their homes, through laptops issued to them by the learning institution, has refused to squash a deposition subpoena, ordering one of the IT techs behind the illegal spy program to appear in court.
However, the employee in question, Carol Cafiero, has vowed to invoke the Fifth Amendment, which is the right to keep silent to prevent self-incrimination.
Irrespective of Cafiero's incriminating silence, well done to the judge. Someone needs to stand up for victims' rights in these privacy abuse cases that have been popping up all over the country.
The truth needs to be ascertained and not swept under the rug, after the nastiness that was done to these kids and their families, via secretly spying on them in their homes, of all places.

Fri, Apr. 9, 2010 - A Lower Merion School District official at the center of the "Webcamgate" scandal invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination today.

Carol Cafiero, the district's information-systems coordinator, had attempted last month to quash a subpoena ordering her to give a deposition for the federal invasion-of-privacy lawsuit filed in February. A judge rejected her motion.
