BP Files A Monster Of A Lawsuit Against Halliburton

BP (British Petroleum) has filed a monster of a lawsuit against Halliburton, Transocean and Cameron International, over the massive oil spill that occurred off the coast of Louisiana last year. The environmental disaster turned out to be the worst spill in U.S. history.
BP seeks $40.9 billion in damages from the Defendants in the case. Yes, you read that right. Billion, not million. BP contends it is for money they paid out in claims and clean up, due to the regrettable spill.

British Petroleum has sustained a significant amount of damage during the disaster. BP’s shareholders and bottom-line, took a pounding over the spill, which British Petroleum stated was caused by the Defendants, as it was their machinery, methods and men that worked on the rig.

When Community College Goes Wrong

My godbrother goes to an esteemed Florida university and plays on the football team. Recently, a student from a neighboring community college (university) explained what happened when a professor finished speaking and opened a discussion up to debate.

The topic of the debate was the BP oil crisis and a black student, tired of Obama being bashed by the professor, stated of the President, "What do you want the ni**a to do, put on snorkels, go into the sea and plug the bi**h himself!" Oh dear. Do remember that the next time you decide to cut educational funding (grants to community colleges).

Obama Approval Ratings Hit An All Time Low

U.S. President Barack Obama's approval ratings have hit an all time low of 42%. The deteriorating U.S. economy, coupled with his less than satisfactory handling of the BP oil spill, has damaged his presidency.
Obama's spending initiatives continue to be wasteful and unruly, such as $1.2 billion being spent on plans to get Americans walking and cycling, when a simple series of adverts would have done the trick.
Pelosi did something similar regarding STD awareness, in trying to squander hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer money, which the Judiciary Report denounced.
The government persists in these plans that fritter away the people's tax dollars and at the worst time in world history, during an unprecedented, raging financial crisis.
This idiocy is going to set America back even further in the financial world, as that $1.2 billion could be spent more productively or not at all, as the deficit is going to swell to $13 trillion dollars.

Why Is Obama Shielding Halliburton

U.S. President Barack Obama, has been shielding Halliburton from public ridicule and responsibility in the Louisiana oil spill, shifting all the blame to BP, who contracted the former to drill and maintain a now broken well, in conjunction with Transocean, 5,000 feet below sea level.

Halliburton is filthy rich, with billions in cash and assets. The company earns $12 billion annually. The war in Iraq was fought for companies such as Halliburton, to gain a monopoly on Iraq oil.

Not only did they commandeer Iraqi oil, they were given billions in U.S. taxpayer money to rebuild Iraq, a country that should not have been blown up in the first place.

However, due to former Vice President Dick Cheney's greed, as a one-time employee of the company, who maintains lucrative financial ties to Halliburton, this madness took place, in collusion with George W. Bush, as the American people were lied to and duped. Bush admitted in an interview he thought "the oil would pay for the war" which is appalling.

Once again, in a terrible, unprecedented crisis that has damaged America, the name Halliburton has surfaced. People need to ask questions why. America has many great companies, but Halliburton has inflicted more damage on this nation than any in recent memory.

BP was forced into shelling out $20 billion dollars in a trust fund this week, regarding damage in Louisiana, when Halliburton is a major culprit in this environmental crisis, yet has gotten away relatively Scot free, as Obama tries to dismantle a foreign company, much to the offense of Britain, that outsourced work to America, an ally. Halliburton should have been made to pay as well.

Obama Addresses The Nation

U.S. President Barack Obama

A gaunt looking Barack Obama, gave an unconvincing speech from the Oval Office yesterday, regarding the BP oil spill. He seemed unsure of himself and his demeanor was one of defeat, in the face of America's worst oil spill.

Obama and all the players involved are operating under uncertainty, mostly due to the tremendous difficulties they have experienced in capping an oil spill that continues to flow. A fortune in U.S. wealth is pouring out into the sea, polluting the ocean, propelled by the force of the earth, which no one has been able to fully contain thus far.

All the emphasis is being placed on BP and not enough equal blame on Halliburton and Transocean, who drilled and ran this operation on the ground, into the ground. The latter two are not doing enough in the face of what they have done to cause the environmental crisis. Both companies, in addition to BP, are worth billions and can afford to clean up the spill and pay claims to businesses that have been destroyed.

Several weeks ago, the Judiciary Report was surprised at initial estimates, claiming only a few thousand gallons of oil have been spewing into the ocean per day, as the site had estimated up to a trillion dollars in oil could end up in the ocean before this is all over, if the problem is not properly addressed. Scientists released a new estimate today, stating 2,500,000 gallons of oil are spewing into the sea on a daily basis.

A great company called Clean Beach Technologies, run by Tony Watson (CEO) and Gary Stevenson (President), is utilizing a clever way to address the Louisiana oil spill that occurred in the Gulf Of Mexico.



The company uses trucks, massive containers and biodegradable materials to clean the oil soiled sand, then returning it to the beach after 12 hours. They have labeled the process a "reclamation of the beach."

Obama To Meet With BP

U.S. President Barack Obama is slated to meet with BP for the first time this week, in reference to the oil spill that occurred in the waters off the state of Louisiana in America. The President has been slammed in the press for his handling of the crisis, with many demanding he do more.
The Judiciary Report is of the belief, all involved should be held accountable, as that is the nature of liability law. BP is shouldering all the blame for work they outsourced to Halliburton and Transocean, who have been silent during this environmental disaster, is not just.
Both companies are quite wealthy and should pay their fair share in damages as well, as they oversaw the drilling and implementation of the well that has sprung an unprecedented leak, polluting the ocean.

Obama Slammed In The British Press Over BP

U.S. President Barack Obama is being slammed in the British press over his treatment of their company BP (British Petroleum). The unprecedented oil spill that occurred off the coast of the U.S. state of Louisiana, has polluted the Gulf Of Mexico, with spewing oil.

The British press contends, the Obama Administration is being nasty to BP, threatening its executives and trying to block dividends from being paid, when it was primarily the American company, Halliburton, that caused the spill, via the rig they operated on BP's behalf in America.

BP stated they outsourced the work to Halliburton and Transocean, who used their own "procedures" "employees" and "equipment." Thus far, BP has paid $1.5 billion in clean up costs and claims, but feels it is being unfairly targeted over what was Halliburton's fault.
It is the Judiciary Report's position that Halliburton and Transocean should be required to pay for clean up costs and claims as well, as their negligence contributed to the unprecedented environmental disaster.
Side Bar: Even before the time of the oil spill, when the Judiciary Report had not even written a word about them yet, the site would receive visits from Halliburton, as attested by website statistics. Obama Blames BP For Everything

With his approval ratings in decline and people labeling the BP oil spill his Hurricane Katrina fiasco, U.S. President Barack Obama is blaming BP for everything.

There is also concerns about anti-British sentiments over the issue. At the end of the day, BP, a British company, contracted an American company, Halliburton, in addition to Transocean, to dig and operate the oil well that ruptured with the rig exploding, resulting in the worst spill in U.S. history.

Many believe he sullied the office of the Presidency of the United States, by using profanity during an interview and it has created a backlash against Obama, as no President has done that in a pre-recorded interview. It was rather inappropriate. Because at the end of the day, you really don't want little kids going around saying, "So I'd know whose as* to kick."

U.S. President Barack Obama, who was clearly offended this morning, cursed on the NBC "Today Show" regarding people slamming his response to the BP oil spill, as inadequate and worst than the government's poor reaction to 2005's Hurricane Katrina, in the same region.

The President bitterly complained he was in Louisiana in the rain a month ago, speaking with fishermen about the potential the spill possessed of being a terrible crisis.

Britney Spears Still Can't Get It Together

Millions of dollars are being spent on Britney Spears' upkeep, yet she still remains the least groomed person in Hollywood, continuing to trot around in stained, ill-fitting clothes, topped off with terrible, atrocious weaves.
Women all over the nation go to reasonably priced salons, paying a basic $50 to get their hair done, come out looking great and a million times better than Spears, who has a higher styling budget.

Britney continues to wander around looking like the poster child for bad weaving and weird hair coloring. The hair on the birds being sprayed with BP oil in her native Louisiana, look better than Britney's tresses.

Obama Does Not Have A Handle On BP Crisis

According to reports today, the BP oil spill could go on for years. Current efforts to cap the problem, is only capturing 10% of the gushing oil. The Obama administration still has not accepted the majority of the international help being offered to address the oil spill.

It is in the world's best interest that the leak be capped, as an adequate tourniquet is necessary to minimize damage to the environment. We all share the same sea at one point or another and tides will shift the damage.

Oil Spill To Continue Until Christmas

Merry Christmas from BP, Transocean and Halliburton! Reports indicate the oil spill off the coast of Louisiana in America, may run until Christmas. Yes, that's right, Christmas.
The environmental and economical fall out from this leak seems to grow worse by the day. Not enough is being done to address the damage and it is distressing to many. Everything that can be done is not being done.
All that beautiful ocean and wildlife being destroyed is sad. BP and co are essentially fighting against the force of the earth, buried deep below the surface. More studies should have been done, before such a risky endeavor was undertaken, at such depths of the sea.

BP Hits Another Glitch

Trouble plagued petroleum company, BP, has hit another glitch in their attempts at stopping a spill that is pumping millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Louisiana.
The oil gushing from a broken well 5,000 feet below the sea is also beginning to pollute the ocean along Alabama and Mississippi, whilst drifting 70 miles away from Pensacola, Florida, closing in on the sunshine state.

Today it was announced by BP that a diamond tip saw being used on the troublesome, broken well, became lodged in it, further delaying work.

The BP/Halliburton/Transocean oil spill is expected to flow for the next few months, until relief wells are implemented. August 2010 is the month being bantered around regarding containment of the largest oil spill in U.S. history.
There have been many attempts at plugging the leak, but none have been successful thus far, leaving many Americans frustrated and upset. It really is sad to see all that oil polluting the ocean and the debris and golf ball solution only created more troublesome waste in the environment.

BP Unsuccessful In Plugging Oil Spill

BP used a "top kill" solution of mud and golf balls, among other things, in an attempt to plug a massive oil spill in Louisiana, emanating from 5,000 feet beneath the sea.

However, BP put more golf balls in the water than U.S. President Obama on vacation, in trying to stop the terrible spill, but to no success thus far, as the black gold continues to waste in the Gulf of Mexico.

Obama Visits Louisiana Oil Spill Site

After taking a battering yesterday during a White House press conference and in various publications, for not doing enough during the Louisiana oil spill, which has been dubbed his "Hurricane Katrina," U.S. President Barack Obama, flew to the region today to view the damage.
Thus far, the "top kill" solution utilized by BP, Transocean and Halliburton, in an effort to plug the gushing oil well, located an unprecedented 5,000 feet below the sea, via pumping it with mud and tough debris, has not been ruled successful. However, efforts are ongoing.
The damage to wildlife and the ocean, is rather regrettable. One cannot help but be sad viewing the damage to our environment that is spreading in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic.
By all appearances, the oil companies did not wish for this to happen, as it seems to be an accident. It has surpassed the Exxon Valdez oil spill in scale and financial damage.

Obama Battered By The Press At The White House

U.S. President Barack Obama faced an onslaught of heavy criticism today from journalists, during a formal press conference held at the White House, in Washington, D.C.
The press contingent hammered the President on a number of topics, such as his administration's weak response to the oil spill in Louisiana, comparing it to the Hurricane Katrina fiasco.
It has been revealed, more oil is spilling into the ocean, than originally estimated, creating massive pollution that could reach Western Europe. The press slammed Obama for ignoring help from 15 of the 17 nations that offered assistance, not "vacuuming" the area using ships to soak up excess oil, as well as disregarding the ideas of a local Louisiana politician, who seeks the construction of a barrier island to mitigate the damage from the spill.
Democratic Congressman Sestak was also mentioned, as a politician that was allegedly given some form of incentive not to run, during a congressional race for public office. The subject of the U.S./Mexico border was also discussed, as a number of troops have been deployed to the area.
It was by far, President Barack Obama's worst press conference. At times he seemed lost, while in other moments he appeared disheartened and embarrassed. The questions were hard hitting, but a number of issues have been inadequately addressed by his administration and the press seized on the opportunity to get some answers. Needless to say, the gloves came off.

During a press conference held today in Washington, D.C., U.S. President Barack Obama's White House briefed the world on the oil spill in Louisiana, which happened under the watch of BP, Halliburton and Transocean.

Government advisors acting in the capacity of oversight, spoke of what they intend to do to address the problem. A relief well is being assembled by the oil companies, in a bid to skim some of the thousands of gallons of oil per day, gushing from beneath the ocean, thereby diverting it into containment units, such as ships. It's amazing to think a trillion dollars in oil is floating in the Gulf of Mexico.
