Chris Bosh Sues The Mother Of His Child Over Basketball Wives

Shaunie O'Neal has done it again. She has gotten another woman into trouble over her reality show. O'Neal's NBA dissfest, "Basketball Wives" has rubbed a number of NBA players the wrong way, including her ex-husband, Shaquille O'Neal.

Now comes word Miami Heat player, Chris Bosh, has sued the mother of his child, Allison Mathis, over her attempts to be on the reality show that has placed many people's private business on television without their permission.

Mathis has been served a lawsuit from Bosh, for seeking to exploit his trademarked name, image and their relationship, on the tawdry television show. Bosh is the third basketball player to file suit over the show. Both Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard initiated litigation over their involuntary involvement in the show.

Man Claiming To Be Lebron's Dad Sues For Millions

A Princeton graduate and former legal advisor to the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission, Leicester Bryce Stovall, has sued basketball player, Lebron James and his mom, Gloria, for paternity, fraud and defamation.
Stovall has demanded $4,000,000 in damages and has requested a jury trial. He claims he had a one night stand with Gloria James when she was 15 and he 29.
Stovall claims he and James are almost identical, which his not true. James is the male version of his mom, who he looks a lot like. He has her facial features. The only similarities I see between Lebron and Stovall is the chin, hair and body build.
Even if you are his dad, why did you pick such an important time in James' life, to come out with such a negative, deeply personal story. What were you hoping to gain, other than the $4,000,000, which you should not have asked for in the first place. It lends the appearance you are after his money.

No judge in his or her right mind would award Stovell any money. Stovall is the one that owes Lebron James and his mother child support back payment, after being an absentee dad and abandoning a 15-year-old mother.
It is obvious you are attempting to take credit for his basketball abilities, but at the end of the day, God gave him that athleticism. Then, by God's grace, his mom raised him.
Keep it up and Lebron is gonna pull a Shaq and start rapping, "Phil is my father, because my biological didn't bother."
Men in these situations are always perplexed when the children they abandoned are upset and bitter, but it is a difficult thing to go through. I know people this has happened to and it deeply wounded and crushed them, not having a dad in their life. They feel like they missed out and it was somehow their fault the parent left, when it was not.
The key for men in such situations, who wish to be apart of their kids lives after not being there, is to be apologetic, understanding, patient, discreet and supportive, not go public with private details and ask for money, causing further distress.

Shaq's Wife Shaunie Is Provoking Him

Shaunie O'Neal, 35, the soon to be ex-wife of NBA basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal, 38, has been throwing her new relationship in his face. She has been photographed several times with her 23-year-old model boyfriend, Marlon Yates.
Shaunie does not seem intent on being low key, taking the model to numerous high profile events, where she knows they will be photographed. One particular red carpet appearance featured Marlon with his hand on Shaunie's butt, as they smiled for the camera. This was rather distasteful.

She also took Marlon to an MTV swag suite event, where famous attendees were informed they would be photographed. Then there were the pictures of her canoodling on the beach in Maui, Hawaii with the young man, all on Shaq's dime. She also has the model around her children she has with Shaquille, which is some what concerning, as she just met Marlon.
The publicity seeking new couple's high profile appearances, clearly are not sitting well O'Neal, who is being provoked. How do we know this? Shaunie accused Shaq in court papers of instructing their son to tell Marlon his daddy will kill him.

Shaunie also violated a confidentiality agreement, which stipulates she is not to discuss their marriage or the terms of her divorce from O'Neal, but used private details thereof, as a publicity tool for her show "Basketball Wives." O'Neal slapped the show with a legal threat if the breach of contract did not desist.
In short, Shaunie needs to stop provoking Shaq. It's not funny or kind. Based on reports, neither party was faithful during the marriage, but considering you made off with a chunk of his fortune, via a divorce settlement and custody of his kids, you could show some restraint in this publicity parade.

You should not push people over the edge, as in a moment of anger, they may loose their cool and lash out. It is not an excuse for potential violence, but why provoke the father of your children to such extremes, putting him in a detrimental position.

Shaunie O'Neal, 35, the soon-to-be ex-wife of NBA basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal, has been dating a 23-year-old man, who is a model. Based on legal papers, Shaquille O'Neal is displeased with a stranger being around his children that he fathered with Shaunie, during several years of marriage. That's natural, as he does not know him and it is sad his marriage broke up in the first place.

There are reports online that the two are engaged and hope to be married. Shaunie needs to be very careful, as she has acquired huge sums of money from her ex-husband in her divorce, which will make her a target of attention that is not necessarily genuine. Some of it is bragging rights as well, to state one is having sex with the mother of Shaquille O'Neal's children.

Shaq Challenges Lawsuit Of Ex-Mistress

According to Orange County, Florida court records, NBA basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal, has filed a "motion to dismiss" in the case brought against him by former mistress, Vanessa Lopez, who is being represented by well-known attorney, Gloria Allred.
Considering her lawyer's stature in legal and court circles, the Judiciary Report would be surprised if the case was tossed that easily. Her allegations of harassment, may pose a challenge for O'Neal's lawyers as well, as Lopez alleged Shaq's friend and sister threatened her, after she allegedly became pregnant by him, in a false alarm, during his marriage to Shaunie O'Neal, of the television show "Basketball Wives."
Reports have since surfaced tarnishing Lopez's character, as she has slept with a number of basketball players, used the credit card of one, Kenyon Martin, without permission, racking up nearly $8,000 in unauthorized charges and conspired with O'Neal's wife, according to Radar Online, to enable the latter to gain a greater divorce settlement and higher alimony payments.

The Judiciary Report is of the opinion, money truly is the root of all evil, as the Bible states, as all this chaos is based in greed. Shaquille needs to be careful of who he allows into his life, as his reputation for being a charitable person, clearly has made him a target.
It would be beneficial if this case was settled before it went to court, as the Plaintiff is using intimate information issued in private, as her trump card, threatening to go public with the details of O'Neal's life, to drag him down. That's extortion.
Ms. Lopez was knowingly having an affair with a married man, while having sex with other NBA basketball players. She issued threats against married O'Neal, when he was not thrilled about a pregnancy by her, which was a false alarm or a lie, then became surprised when his sister threatened her back and an alleged associate began calling her.
The contact on both ends needs to desist. Having written that, if the Judiciary Report was on that jury, Mrs. Lopez would not get a dime in this case, as she knew her conduct was not above board, in the same manner she alleges against the Defendants and she, like many other groupies, shows a penchant for taking money not their own (Kenyon Martin).

"Basketball Wives" Lacks Substance

The reality show, Basketball Wives, which premiered last month, lacks substance and has not improved with newer episodes. There is a significant emphasis on wealth, rather than what is truly important in life.
The women on the show are emotionally wounded and bitter, due to unfaithful basketball players. It is natural to feel hurt by such infidelity, but they are not working through their problems and pain in a productive manner.
The show didn't contain the substance of the unrelated, but similarly titled, February 2010 hour long documentary "Basketball Wives" which aired on E and focused on the unexpected pitfalls of becoming a professional basketball player.

That program added stories of sadness, such as an NBA wife developing cancer before her wedding and having to undergo chemotherapy, which made her hair fall out. Her finance, who is now her husband, shaved his head to show his support and solidarity with her.
Another curious item is Shaunie O'Neal's disappearance from this week's episode. Her husband, Shaquille O'Neal, sent a legal notice to the makers of the reality show, informing them her appearance and discussion of their marriage, would be a violation of their divorce confidential agreement.

VH-1's new reality show, "Basketball Wives" starring, Shaunie O'Neal, the soon to be ex-wife of, Shaquille O'Neal, is in hot water of a legal variety.

It seems Shaunie signed a very binding confidentiality agreement with estranged husband, Shaq, which prohibits her from discussing their relationship publicly, particularly in a book or on a television program, which is exactly what she has done.

The scandalous "Basketball Wives" has thus far discussed Shaq's adulterous affair with, Laura Govan, the fiancée of fellow NBA basketball player, Gilbert Arenas, while kindly leaving out Shaunie's infidelity. Shaunie reportedly had two boyfriends during the course of their marriage and previously left her deacon husband to marry Shaq.

Shaq had his lawyers send over a legal warning to VH-1 days before the show aired, but they went ahead with the debut without removing references to Shaq that aren't particularly flattering. Shaq is now threatening suit.

The show has a history of legal problems. The program clearly had to change its name from "NBA Wives" to "Basketball Wives" for legal reasons, as it would violate the league's trademark rights.

One of the show's stars, Royce Reed, was slapped with a gag order from, Dwight Howard, instructing her not to divulge the contents of their past relationship or mention his name or that of their son.

"Basketball Wives" Is Crazier Than "Real Housewives Of Atlanta"

After having its name changed from "NBA Wives" to "Basketball Wives" VH-1's latest reality show debuted yesterday, starring Shaunie O'Neal, soon to be ex-wife of basketball player, Shaq O'Neal.

She brought along Eric Williams' wife Jennifer, Matt Barnes fiancée Gloria Govan (her sister, Gilbert Arenas' fiancée Laura, had an affair with Shaq), Michael Olowokandi's girlfriend Suzie Ketcham, Antoine Walker's former girlfriend Evelyn Lozada, Rasual Butler's ex-girlfriend Erikka Mozam and Dwight Howard's former girlfriend and mother of his son Royce Reed, who is the most scandalous of the bunch.

The women featured on the show are pretty and well spoken, but the show turned into caustic catfights and crying. Royce Reed also began vulgarly dancing throughout the show like a stripper, lowering the tone of the program.

She is a pretty woman (er, I don't mean like the movie of the same name) and should carry herself better than that, especially for her son's sake. It is clear the other women on the show do not like her. She was even labeled "groupie-ish."


A preview of coming episodes reveal clips of more bickering and a fight featuring one of the stars of the show, throwing a drink in another's face, who in turn smashes a glass in her face for doing so.

This show could have been far more useful and revealing regarding the tribulations that come with being attached to some, not all, athletes, who engage in sexual affairs, leaving their women devastated.

Instead, "Basketball Wives" is like "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" - full of fighting and gossip - but with a Miami locale. It will help ratings to a certain degree, but dignity flew out the window.
