The movie is about a wizard named Harry Potter and his friends, who are pursued by sorcerers. Each Harry Potter film seems to get darker, which is ironic, as its main audience is comprised of children. Many of the book readings held at stores, are mostly frequented by children and their parents as well. This film was no different and it is the stuff nightmares are made of, which makes one question the sense in providing such ghoulish imagery to kids. The plot revolves around a stolen wand being sought as a means to kill Harry Potter, which is not a wholesome image for its core audience. The special effects were slightly above average, but the actual film was dark as well, literally, as in poorly lit and on purpose to create a menacing mood. However, it only created eye strain during certain scenes of this ungodly tale.

"Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince" is the six movie in the film series that sprang from the dark mind of J.K. Rowling, whose works a judge once labeled "Gibberish." Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, finds a book of magic spells belonging to the "Half Blood Prince" and begins to use it, breeding trouble.

For a film generally marketed to small kids and teens, it certainly was violent, bloody and dark. Scenes of ungodly witchcraft permeate this film, as that is the entire concept of Harry Potter. It is easy to dismiss it as just a film, but so many of the scenes interspersed among the school banter, is not healthy for its audience's psyche. The devil is in the details.

Harry Potter Author Sued For Copyright Theft

Oh dear! Author J.K. Rowling has been sued for infringement in violation the PREEXISTING copyrights of the estate of Adrian Jacobs. Author Adrian Jacobs wrote, copyrighted and published the book "The Adventures of Willy the Wizard -- No 1 Livid Land" in 1987. Rowling's book "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" was released 10 YEARS LATER and has significant similarities to it. To make matters worse, Adrian Jacobs and J.K. Rowling are connected through literary agent, Christopher Jacobs, with the Plaintiff (Jacobs) having sought his services prior to the Defendant (Rowling). In closing, I agree with the New York judge in a separate J.K. Rowling infringement case last year - this magic stuff is gibberish. It added that the plot of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire copied elements of the plot of Willy the Wizard, including a wizard contest, and that the Potter series borrowed the idea of wizards traveling on trains. "Both Willy and Harry are required to work out the exact nature of the main task of the contest which they both achieve in a bathroom assisted by clues from helpers, in order to discover how to rescue human hostages imprisoned by a community of half-human, half-animal fantasy creatures," the estate statement said. "It is alleged that all of these are concepts first created by Adrian Jacobs in Willy the Wizard, some 10 years before J.K. Rowling first published any of the Harry Potter novels and 13 years before Goblet of Fire was published."
