The sales decline of the "Transformers 3" sequel, "Dark Of The Moon" is actually higher than the 24 percent decrease in opening weekend ticket tallies. "Transformers 3" had a higher ticket price, due to the film being in 3D, which means even less people actually saw the film than its predecessor on two fronts.

In short, "Transformers 3" is technically the least successful in the franchise, as more people stayed at home and did not watch it.
