"Negro Hill" in California, which houses the graves of 36 former slaves, but was desecrated 50 years later by the Army Corps Of Engineers, who etched the words "unknown" and "nig*er" on each head stone, is facing a fresh round of scorn for this disrespectful conduct.
The unnamed men deserved better burials than the ones provided. Activists have launched a campaign to have the head stones redone to remove the offensive word "nig*er" from each one. The decision to do so is pending a municipal county board vote. Slurred in life and death. Unbelievable and vile!
