Bill Signed To Block Obama Birth Certificate Requests

The U.S. state of Hawaii has passed a bill to ban all requests for access to U.S. President Barack Obama's birth certificate, which has been questioned in many circles, as it has been alleged he was born in Africa, not America, making him ineligible to be the nation's Commander-In-Chief.
With all due respect to Hawaii, this is not transparency in government. Mr. Obama should have produced his original birth certificate to settle legal and social disputes regarding it, rather than the state of Hawaii having to resort to these drastic measures, as they receive 20 requests per week for the document.

U.S. President Barack Obama is the subject of a congressional bill to block requests for a true copy of his birth certificate, as the photocopy that has been provided and scanned to his website, has been labeled a fake, carrying Photoshop digital markings. To be President of the United States, one must be born in America and many contend Obama was born in Kenya (Africa).

A conference committee unanimously voted Tuesday to advance the bill to final votes in the House and Senate. The bill is SB2937.

Gays are angry that Republicans have seized control of the New York State Senate, thanks to the defection of two Democrats, Pedro Espada Jr. and Hiram Monserrate. Homosexuals are viewing this as a Republican attempt to block gay marriage in the state of New York.

June 8, 2009, 3:50 pm - Two state senators — Pedro Espada Jr. of the Bronx and Hiram Monserrate of Queens — moved to defect to the Republican side, which would end Democratic control of the chamber.

Updated, 6:20 p.m. | ALBANY – Republicans apparently seized control of the New York State Senate on Monday, in a stunning and sudden reversal of fortunes for the Democratic Party, which controlled the chamber for barely five months.

A raucous leadership fight erupted on the floor of the Senate around 3 p.m., with two Democrats, Pedro Espada Jr. of the Bronx and Hiram Monserrate of Queens, joining the 30 Senate Republicans in a motion that would displace Democrats as the party in control...

One source of contention among Democrats recently has been Mr. Smith’s support for same-sex marriage. Senator Rubén Díaz Sr., a Democrat from the Bronx, has been outspoken in his insistence that legislation allowing gay couples to marry not be allowed to come to a vote. Some had speculated he might leave the Democratic Party if Mr. Smith were to allow a vote.

But Mr. Díaz did not join Mr. Espada and Mr. Monserrate in the leadership vote on Monday. It was not immediately clear whether the same-sex marriage legislation played any role in the leadership dispute...
