China Arrests U.S. Spy And Obama Shows Double Standard

    U.S. President Barack Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama has been privately pleading with the Chinese government, regarding the arrest and sentencing of a naturalized U.S. spy, Xue Feng, 44.

Feng obtained a classified disc, containing information about the Chinese government's oil program and passed it to U.S. intelligence. How hypocritical of the Obama administration to lock up 11 alleged "Russian Spies" on charges most do not understand, which have become the butt of many jokes on television and the internet, yet try to excuse the conduct of, Feng, who spied on China, on behalf of the U.S. government. That's called a double standard.

U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama

Feng has committed clear cut crimes of espionage, as he actually obtained national secrets. Whereas, the Russian spies observed the American way of life and tried to befriend U.S. politicians, to promote their national interests.

Entrapment entered the picture, when one of the Russian spies was set up by an FBI agent, to receive a fraudulent U.S. passport. Having written that, it was a clear cut crime to do so, but not one relating to national secrets. The FBI has failed to illustrate to the public what national secrets said Russian Spies stole from the U.S. government.

Xue Feng took a massive risk that did not pay off

If other nations arrested U.S. spies on the same premise used in the case against the Russians, the majority of the CIA would be behind bars all over the world. Compiling and publishing the CIA Factbook would constitute a number of international crime.

The Spy Next Door

    Title: The Spy Next Door

    Year Of Release: 2009

    Review Date: June 30, 2010

    Rating: PG-13

    Running time: 94 minutes

    Box Office Gross: $41,612,093

Site Rating: 3 out of 10 stars

"The Spy Next Door" was a mildly entertaining film starring Jackie Chan, as Bob Ho (I was so sure it was "Bob Hope"), a Chinese spy, working for the CIA, that lives next door to the woman he loves, Gillian, a single mother, who has three rambunctious children. Rambunctious = evil. Just kidding, but they are so, how can I put this, energetic, sarcastic and strong willed, they almost broke down a trained spy. Those are some bad kids.

Bob has been dating Gillian and not telling her he is a CIA spy. This level of dishonest damages their relationship and also causes the entire film to unravel, in how this storyline was presented. Chan was funny as always and the child stars quite gifted, but the script for this movie is derivative and needs work, as it let the film down.

The FBI Arrests 11 "Russian Spies"

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has arrested 11 people that have been living and working in America for a decade, as spies for Russia. This comes on the heels of Russian President, Dmitri Medvedev's visit to America, where he met and dined with U.S. President, Barack Obama.

Today, the White House insisted the arrests of the aforementioned agents will not impact America's relationship with Russia, but how can it not. Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, has slammed the arrests, labeling the FBI "out of control."

Americans interviewed about the alleged spies, referred to it as out of place and strange in this day and age, stating they noticed nothing odd about their neighbors. Not the reaction the FBI was hoping for, but it is the one they received, nonetheless.

It is strange that Russia is spying on America at this point in world history, as China has all the money. What they were hoping to gain from the alleged spying is still a mystery, as their nation has made strides in the world as well.

President Sarkozy, President Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister David Cameron

Then again, the alleged spying began while former President Bill Clinton was still in office and America was quite prosperous. Then George W. Bush took office and the deterioration of the nation began, creating problem after problem that has yet to be fixed.

Putin says U.S. police "out of control" in spy case

June 30, 2010, 12:48 am - MOSCOW (Reuters) - Moscow angrily rejected U.S. accusations Tuesday that Washington had cracked an undercover Russian spy ring, and said the Cold War-style cloak and dagger saga seemed timed to wreck a recent thaw in relations.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said U.S. police had gone "out of control" after 10 suspected spies were arrested in the United States in the biggest espionage case for years.

"I hope that all the positive gains that have been achieved in our relationship will not be damaged by the recent event," he told visiting ex-U.S. President Bill Clinton...

    BLOW TO OBAMA

Russian analysts said the timing suggested it was an attempt to undermine the "reset" which Obama's administration has hailed as a major foreign policy achievement, citing Moscow's support for sanctions against Iran and cooperation on Afghanistan.

"It's a slap in the face to Barack Obama," said Anatoly Tsyganok, a political analyst at Moscow's Institute of Political and Military Analysis. He predicted Russia would follow Cold War etiquette and uncover an equal number of alleged U.S. spies...

North Korea v. South Korea

North Korea's sinking of a South Korean ship has provoked rage in the region, as it is believed to be an act of deliberate aggression. The two nations are reportedly on the brink of war, which is inadvisable. North Korea must understand South Korea's anger, as their people have died in the tragedy.

They are brothers, but are now divided by social and military ideology, with South Korea fairing better in the world. There is also massive poverty and hunger in North Korea, which is regrettable.

The Judiciary Report's suggestion to North Korea is to take a page out of China's book and focus more on manufacturing not military might. It would solve a number of their nation's problems and create a more peaceful existence.

If the nation was more prosperous, the desire for war would not take precedence over everything else. The Judiciary Report wishes both nations well.

Chinese President Consoles Earthquake Survivors

    Hu Jintao (Photo credit: Xinhua)

Chinese President, Hu Jintao, consoled victims of the terrible earthquake that hit China last week, killing over 2,000 people. Previously, Jintao, was often seen smiling in public when greeting his constituents and foreign leaders, but international papers noted he let his compassionate side show in visiting, embracing and encouraging earthquake survivors this week. Jintao promised them "new homes" stating the region "will be rebuilt" and they "will have bright futures." That was nice.

Obama, China And The Yuan

Chinese President Hu Jintao and U.S. President Barack Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama is still pressuring global titan, China, to change the value of its currency, the Yuan, which is an unbelievable request. China has maintained its position that it will not budge on this matter.

Once again, President Obama needs to focus on the U.S. economy and stop interfering in other nation's policies. That's what placed former President Bush firmly in trouble.

The way back for America in this financial crisis, is not for the government to tell others to take a step down, but for Washington to work with the nation in taking a step forward.
